Where this applies

• A judge holds that a party who broke his promise in bad faith cannot invoke the statute of limitations, because fidelity and justice go hand in hand.
• A lender who secretly changed the terms of a loan agreement after the borrower signed it is denied relief, because without honest dealing there can be no just outcome.
