Maxim 7.7.6

The act of law does wrong to no one.

Explanation

Where the law itself operates, the resulting consequence is deemed just — but this maxim protects only acts truly authorized by law, not acts merely performed under its color.

  • The law itself authorized the action that harmed me — is there any recourse?
