Explanation

Truth is its own defense; the only thing that can defeat it is suppression. He who hides evidence betrays the truth and obstructs justice.

Where this applies

• The other side is trying to hide evidence because the truth would destroy their case.
• If they had nothing to fear they wouldn't be suppressing the evidence.
• The truth only loses when it's concealed — so why are they concealing it.
