Maxim 9.5.17

We can do nothing against truth.

Explanation

Truth is indestructible — no artifice, no legal fiction, and no exercise of power can alter or overcome what is objectively true. (Duplicate maxim — see also 1.5.256.)

Where this applies

  • They're trying to use legal tricks to override what's obviously true.
  • No amount of power or manipulation can change the actual facts.
  • The truth is indestructible no matter what legal maneuvers they try.
