Maxim 8.1.32
No man ought to be twice vexed, if it be proved to the Court that it be for one and the same cause.
Nemo debet bis vexari, si constat curiae quod sit pro una et eadem causa.

Explanation
Once a cause has been determined, the same matter may not be relitigated between the same parties — double vexation for one cause is prohibited.

- I'm being sued for the same thing I was already sued for and lost.
- The plaintiff is filing the same complaint against me for a second time.
