Equity suffers not a wrong without a remedy.

Explanation

Where a legal wrong exists but no legal remedy reaches it, equity will supply the remedy — the maxim forbids any gap between recognized right and available relief.

Where this applies

• Someone has been wronged but there is no legal remedy available at law.
• A person suffers an injury that no existing statute or common law action addresses.
