Maxim 7.6.15
The malicious plans of men must be avoided.
Source: 4 Coke, 15; Weisman, 78k
Explanation
(English-origin maxim.) Schemes born of malice carry no legal protection — the law recognizes and frustrates malicious designs rather than giving them effect.
Where this applies
- A scheme designed to harm another under the cover of a lawful-looking transaction is challenged.
- A party structures a deal specifically to injure a competitor, and the malice is exposed.
