What was done without due consideration, upon better consideration we should revoke.

Explanation

Hasty or improvident acts carry their own remedy — reflection and revocation are always available to cure what recklessness created.

Where this applies

  • We made a hasty decision and now realize it was a mistake — can we undo it?
  • The legislature passed a law in the heat of the moment and now wants to repeal it.
