Maxim 6.5.13

A church ought not to pay tithes to a church.

Ecclesia ecclesiae decimas solvere non debet.

Explanation

Ecclesiastical bodies of equal standing do not owe tithes to one another — the obligation of tithe runs from the laity to the church, not between churches.
